This is the final stage proposal for international competition for ‘Institute France Du Japon Tokyo” between 7 international teams including Pritzker Prize Architect, SANAA, Shigeru Ban Architects, Sou Fujimoto, Mikan and SUGAWARADAISUKE Architects. We were nominated in top group.
The relation between France and Japan dates back to the time the Keicho era mission visited Southern France 200 years ago. Not only in the fields of politics and economy, the chemistry between the two cultures has been attracting the whole world ever since.
IFJT is the center of French culture in Japan as well as the focal point of diplomatic dialogues. This project‘s goal is to contribute to the future of the bicentennial dialogue by creating a cultural hub to distribute French culture from Japan to the world.
